I read this comic three times a week because I keep missing things first time around. I don't know how I missed it until just now, but first panel has a rookie cop who can't keep it down.
I want to say that this is one of the few comics I read that requires actual cognitive thought. I don't read this to relax, I read it to get those funny tickling feelings from inside my head that everyone tells me are "thoughts". And though I admit there are several comics I didn't get right off the bat, I was always determined to get them because I was positive that anyone who put this much effort into his beautiful artwork must also be utterly masterful with his humor. And I have always found it to be true.
Anyways, keep it up and I definitely look foreward to reading more (I also like the forums, for all of the rabble rousing it causes, because it allows for discussion of the content and there are many things I don't immediately pick up on that people point out!).
Awesome comic. I want a full 24 page story with detective Turkey.
I wonder โ if a human had been slaughtered, decapitated and cooked like that, would we see a picture like that on the front page of our local papers? the answer is: hopefully.
I love the rain dripping off the turkey in the first panel. I actually zoomed on it. I feel like most people would have left it out or forgotten about it.
I think my favorite thing about this comic is the naming. I don't know why or how I know this, but somewhere along the lines I learned that a snood is that little bit of skin that hangs over the turkey's beak. Detective Greg Snood, the Butterball Police, the Wattler. All genius.
Honestly? This many people correcting spelling? Does it matter how the spelling in the faked up article is, if the actual comic is so funny? Nit-picking, anal-retentive spastics...
Every panel a brilliant masterpiece. The Hollywood cliche of the cop turkey throwing up at the scene of a grizzly murder. The shot of the detective through the legs of the victim. You are the Fincher of comics
Heh, this comic is a typo disaster. This is the problem with the increased resolution... not only do I have to draw higher detail(which I enjoy), I have to carefully edit silly newspaper article afterthoughts. Oh well, I tried to fix it up a bit, but now I'm headed to bed.
Heh. Im surprised you didnt try and play it cool. I can think of at least one detective film where the local paper's inability to spell anything right was a major part of the plot =p
