If you wanted to go the extra and unnecessary mile, you could have made the numbers on the "For Sale" sign spell out "Kone," or something along those lines. I mean, it would have been an extremely random and probably pointless joke, but it seems like there was a pattern here with trying to use everything in the environment to make the joke clear to your audience.

Just because two artist use a similar technique and have compatible sensibilities by no means makes either biters. Nick Gurewitch was certainly not the first to mix surrealist humor with high rendered art and Kramer and Vaughn weren’t the last.
Besides, PBF hasn’t put out a new strip in months. You should be happy there are other comics that draw from that well.

This reminds me of when i was in highschool we had to make up a business and create a plan to make the most money in the class and these two girls had a place like discovery zone (think large Mcdonald's playground if your unfamiliar) and they named it the Kool Kids Klub and they never quite caught on to what they had done...good times good times
Ok, am I the only one who thinks that in panel two the hat kinda looks like a pointy condom?......kondom? Maybe it's just the phallic implecations of corndogs that are leading me to this conclusion.
I can't really speak to Jeremy's artistic choices but I think that the character bit into the conedog laterally as you would corn on the cob. The reason being is that is quite the sizable snack.

I actually gave consideration to the bite mark direction when drawing it. I figured that guy would eat his konedog much like you'd eat a leg of chicken.
KKK has three Ks, the restaurant is also KKK. That's seriously the joke? Wow what total crap, sorry. Yeah the illustrations are nice but come on now. I can get better jokes from the comics section of the paper if I tried.

I think the vertical layout works pretty well. Scrolling down to read the comic doesn't take all that much effort; it actually feels kind of natural reading it that way. I think the inability to skip to the last frame unintentionally helps with the punchline too.
I started to think that about Conedogs too. You don't have to worry about the condiments falling on your hand NOR do you have to worry about biting into that damn stick. Lastly, I don't think you could pull off combo #3 WITHOUT the cone.
I never actually liked your drawings, they never really strucked me as anything good, great, or awesome.
Penny Arcade on the other hand keeps the juice of fun and love flowing constantly. It's been like that for years now and boy, do i love them so much that i never care for other trite sites, like this one for example.
So going down is not a surprise for me, much less a unsatisfactory event, completely contrary actually, i'm rejoicing both inside and out.

Truck Bearing Kibble is trite compared to a GAMER COMIC? Sorry, PBF has its moments, but it's not a real webcomic if you only have to read the accompanying blog to get most of the jokes.
Besides that, you can't say the drawings are better. They're in a totally different style, there's no comparison. This site's comic isn't always funny, but the artwork is beautiful, almost too good for a webcomic.

The only thing I can think of that has "gone down" is the average intelligence of comments on this page after this person's was posted.

Interestingly enough, the slogan in Nazi Germany for the role of women was "Kinder, Küche, Kirche" (KKK), which translates to "Children, Kitchen, Church." I thought I might get Godwin's Law out of the way early for this one :-)
