The first three parts is a ref to "The Last Starfighter (1984)" and the forth is a ref to "Dr. Strangelove (1964)" Ender is in no way ref in this comic strip.
Love the fact someone still loves The Last StarFighter let alone remembers it.
I do see the Ender's Game coincidence, but it is much more obviously, intentionally, explicitly referencing Dr. Strangelove and The Last Starfighter. If you've seen those movies (which I thought everyone had), it's much funnier.
You get a good score in the battle games on the Battle Station (or whatever, it was a long time ago), and then you go take part in humanity's war against the buggers.
Except it's inverted.
Yeah, it's probably not the intended reference, but it's not too hard to get if you've read the book.
